Well, if he's punishing the bad ones, wouldn't that make him good? I mean, no teacher in her right mind puts the worst student in class in charge when she leaves.
If Satan was both 'bad' and 'in charge of Hell' wouldn't he just let people go since they turned against 'God?' Wouldn't he want to encourage that behavior rather than punish it?
So if we can speak 'Christian' for a moment, either Satan is actually good because he's punishing the bad people in Hell, or the Christian God is actually the one in charge of Hell and torture. Nothing else makes logical sense.
Except, of course, that neither of them exist.
Speaking "christian"
ReplyDeleteSatan is only in charge of hell in the movies. Biblically speaking Satan is among the punished in hell.
God is the punisher not Satan. According to scripture Satan, nor anyone else is in Hell right now. Satan, the angel has been cast out of Heaven and thrown to earth. Satan has free will on earth just like humans, his powers over earth are only the powers of temptation and influence. We all have that same power. We also have free will to resist the temptations of Satan.
But in the end when all souls and Satan go to their final destination, according to scripture, Satan will be Hells most prized prisoner, not its warden.
I'm confused... If I die before "the end", do I still get to go to heaven, even if I've completely denied the existence of God? According to what you just wrote, no one is in hell. Well, where are they?

ReplyDeleteAccording to scripture... not saying its true... just speaking "christian"
But no one is in heaven or hell at this moment. The dead are in their graves awaiting the second resurrection, or second coming of jesus christ. After this the dead will rise from their graves and go to wherever it is they are judged to go to... heaven or hell. According to the bible that is up to you.
Thank you for the read. I found it quite fascinating! I have never heard heaven or hell explained in this manner, in all of my 42 years. Millions upon millions of people have been taught, myself included, that when we die, you either go to one or the other. This particular theory, though, eliminates someone from telling a dear one that their loved one is looking down on them from heaven. There can be tremendous comfort in believing that statement.
